I was cruising Insta the past few days, generally I ignore it except for people and their cats whom I follow. What led me here again was a post by @zoecainart, that rang a bell in my typical holiday loneliness triggered by thinking I should have family and friends around.
My training in cognitive therapy says loneliness is caused by thinking
that I am alone. There is no evidence for this because I am always with me and I care for my feelings and wellbeing. It’s unpleasant when people lie to me about their care, and it’s best fire them. This is a self care.
